Individuals who meet eligibility requirements and who successfully pass the exam attain the two-year CHRC designation.
HCCA members and non-members alike can become CHRC certified. An HCCA membership is not necessary to attain, maintain, or renew a CHRC certification.
1. Gain work experience
In order to apply to sit for a CCB exam, candidates must gain the necessary work experience. Learn more
2. Earn and submit the required CEUs
Candidates must earn and submit 20 CCB approved continuing education units in order to apply to sit for a
CCB exam. CEUs must include 10 from "live" training events, and must be earned within the 12-month period
preceding the date of the exam. Learn more
3. Apply to take the exam
Once you have satisfied candidacy requirements, complete and submit the Exam Application and the appropriate testing fee. Learn more
4. Schedule your exam
Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an exam eligibility confirmation from CCB. The confirmation includes the phone number needed to schedule an exam appointment with AMP. Learn more
5. Take the exam
Take the exam. You will have two hours to complete the 120-question exam. The exam is only given in English. Once the exam has been taken, review your score report to determine whether you passed. Learn more
